This project is the result of a long-standing collaboration with San Patrignano, the largest community in Italy helping young people affected by all kinds of addictions. Wefree is a prevention program that comes from 40 years of daily experience with young people, and the awareness of how useful and important it is to inform teenagers about the risks associated with addiction.

Thanks to thos project, students have the opportunity to attend performances in which the actors, former guests of the community who have finished their rehabilitation and have now reintegrated society, tell their life experiences and their past. All this translates into a communication exchange among peers, without the presence of adults.

During the Covid emergency, with social distance preventing events in big theaters, a new tool was created to reach students all over Italy and give continuity to the prevention project. It is called “#Chiaroscuro, a reportage on the struggle to grow”, a documentary in which three former guests of the community tell their story, their mistakes, the effort to stand up and the joy of a rediscovered life.

Now Wefree’s activities and meetings are back in full swing.
