PROJECT DATA

Thanks to the collaboration with the Fondazione Bambino Gesù, a project of recreational assistance in neuro-oncology has been launched. The beneficiaries will be the children in care at the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome

20-25% of tumors affecting children are tumors involving the central nervous system.

Although in 70% of cases the tumor is successfully treated, neurological, emotional and cognitive problems significantly affect the quality of life post-healing. Accompanying children, parents and families throughout the treatment process is the most effective solution.

In fact, this project follows an approach for the treatment of central nervous system tumors in pediatric children that focuses not only on treating the disease but also on preventing the long-term effects caused by the treatments children undergo.

In addition to the daily accompaniment of patients, there are several workshops present: programming, armocromy, drawing and comics, T-shirt making, creative photography, ceramics, creative reading, and theater.
