With the support of the OTB Foundation, UNHCR has ensured tents-accommodation and the distribution of emergency goods kits, to concretely respond to the urgent need of families in need of relief and shelter.

Following its mission to intervene promptly and concretely in emergency situations, the OTB Foundation immediately took action to help the Turkish and Syrian populations affected by the earthquake and chose to do so through a partner such as UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, with which he has been collaborating for several years and on several fronts.

The earthquake that has shaken Turkey and Syria has caused, to date, more than 50 000 victims. UNHCR immediately mobilized its operations in the field to come to the aid of refugees and refugee camps in the two countries. In Syria, are already in distribution kits with emergency goods that include thermal blankets, mattresses, kitchen sets, plastic tarpaulins, water tanks, winter clothing, and other necessities, intended for areas of Aleppo, Homs, and Tartous, among the most affected areas.
