The intervention aims to offer Bassano’s young patients followed at the Pediatric Oncohematology hub centers of Padua and Verona a reference point close to home for a whole series of check-ups, care procedures, and therapies that are typically provided in Day Hospital, thus reducing the need for continuous travel outside the province.
The project involves the creation, within the Pediatrics department, of a dedicated inpatient area, consisting of two rooms (both with bathrooms) for a total of 3 beds, as well as an area used for dressing and undressing family members, a kitchen and a play area, for a total area of 110 square meters: all with family-friendly furnishings, to reduce the emotional impact of the hospital stay.
