D-Hub and "A Special Bag"

D-Hub is an association founded more than 20 years ago and based in Verona, north of Italy. D-Hub’s mission is to support the emancipation of disadvantaged women – in particular young mothers, through specific traineeships helping them acquire new skills, but more than anything, a new awareness of themselves

Women have obtained an employment contract in laboratories and other related structures

Women employed in urban laboratories

In support of women in need

The main aim is to create a self-sustainable, educational network for self-employed women, placing the accent not so much on the idea of job insertion, but of real entrepreneurial processes, which put women at the centre, with their skills, creativity and desires. The first and most fundamental element, in D-Hub experience, is given by the recognition that in this project comes from being part of a process entering a difficult accessible field, the fashion world

A Special Bag

Our project features a series of limited edition handbags, designed by the different brands that comprise the OTB group and available exclusively via global e-commerce platform Farfetch. This is the first charity initiative of Only The Brave Foundation that simultaneously involves the following brands that have all enthusiastically joined the project: Diesel, Maison Margiela, Marni, Paula Cademartori, Dsquared2 and Just Cavalli. The creative director of each brand involved was asked to design a new model of bag for the benefit of Only The Brave Foundation, using only and exclusively the textile waste of each respective brand. D-Hub took care of the manufacture of the bags

D-HUB is part of GENERA-LAB, the first female co-working network in Verona, integrating different cultures and professionalism. A place dedicated to those who want to invent a creative work, reconciling the times of life. Born in 2016 from the meeting of the associations D-Hub and Le Fate Onlus, it is committed to the enhancement of traditional and artisanal knowledge of the feminine world through the creation of a platform of urban laboratories, in collaboration with The Equal Opportunities Department of the Municipality of Verona. This network has the aim of creating and enhancing self-employment of Italian and foreign women, for a widespread educational community, with the contribution of professional artisans working around Verona and of the women met by the two associations over the years
